About Me – Idrees Hassan

Hey, I am Idrees Hassan and welcome to my website!

I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and have been programming for over 7+ years. I am an research assistant for the UNC School of Education where I create visualizations of science concepts for linguistically diverse middle schoolers, as well as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the UNC Computer Science Department. In my free time I sometimes work on little programming projects such as my Tetris AI or my complimenting chatbot, as well as bigger projects like a chess playing robotic arm. These and some of my other programs can be found on this site and on my Github. If you are interested in a program featured on this site that is not available on Github, please let me know.

You will most likely find me programming in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, C#, and Visual Basic, though I am always trying to learn something new. I am also interested in bioalgorithms such as genetic algorithms and N.E.A.T. neuroevolution. Biology has interested me since an early age, and the idea of incorporating biological concepts into computer programming was one my main interests when I first started learning how to program 7 years ago. If you have any ideas for projects that you think I would be interested in, feel free to contact me below!

I am in the process of moving some of my less sensitive programs to Github. You can access my Github at github.com/idreesinc.

A lot of this website, including this bio page, is a work in progress. I understand that it is a bit bare at the moment, so if you wish to know more about me, you can contact me through the form below!

Oh, and Idrees Inc is the name of the site, not a real company. But hopefully you picked up on that already. Hopefully.
